Launceston Camera Club Sweep the Board at the CPA

A deligate of Launseston Camera Club members went to Truro on Tuesday May 4th 2010 to the annual CPA (Cornwall Photographic Alliance) competition with there usual high expectation but never expected to return with 6 out of the 7 trophies on offer.
Launceston is the most easterly of the 12 Cornish clubs that took part.
The competition was judged by three experienced judges from the Bristol area.
The competition got underway with the Digital Projected Images and Launceston took a Highly Commended and the top three places. 3rd Nuthatch- Adrian Davey,2nd Fagin hiding in the Shadows-Nick Bodle, 1st and over all winner was Hornet in Flight-Chris Robbins.
In the Print section Launceston excelled again with Highly Commended Tranquillity-Heather Bodle, 2nd (colour) Riders on the sand-Don Easter,2nd (mono) Ullswater-Nick Bodle, 1st and best mono print was Justina2 by John Davey.
Then came the bit when all the scores are added up and the results were Prints 3rd Wadebridge 175, 2nd StAustell 177 1st Launceston 194.
Digital: 3rd St Austell 175, 2nd St Ives 181, 1st Launceston 183.
Over all: 3rd St Ives 348, 2nd St Austell 352, and 1st Launceston 377.
